Plot graphs from Mysql database using PHP & Chartjs

I need to visualize data on a couple of graphs using data from a couple of Mysql tables using chart.js (http://www.chartjs.org/)

A couple of plots include:
Bar charts: Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Monthly
Pie charts
